About the Artist
My name is Shelby and I am the designer, metalsmith, and everything in between for Metal in the Mountains Jewelry. My first introduction to metal smithing and jewelry was in high school, I skipped classes and spent many lunches in the studio to get in as much time in there as I could. After taking a few years off I slipped back into the classroom with my high school teacher who was also the college professor in my home town. My passion for the craft has continued to take me on a path of growth and learning. From the constant beauty that surrounds me growing up in Alaska I find inspiration for my work.
All of Metal in the Mountains jewelry is handcrafted from my home studio in Cordova, Alaska.
